The site consists of a Worcestershire Wildlife Trust Reserve and, further up the hill, a flower rich landfill site which has been managed by Butterfly Conservation volunteers over the last few years. The site is Worcestershire's best site for Dingy Skipper with annual counts of over 50 individuals. It also has a good population of Green Hairstreak.
