Earrings by Caitlin £15.00

Caitlin is making earrings again and raising money for West Midlands Butterfly and Moth Society. She is selling her handmade earrings at £15 a pair and and donating £3.00 of the cost to West Midlands Butterfly and Moth Society. Each and every one is hand drawn before making them into earrings so by that nature they may slightly differ in size or colour. The fittings are sterling silver plated, hypoallergenic, nickle and lead free.

Choose from Holly Blue, Orange-tip, Monarch, Marbled White, Red Admiral and Peacock Butterflies. She can also make them into a necklace.

Moths of the West Midlands £23.50

This is the first-ever book on the moths of the West Midlands covering all of the macro moths in our region (over 600 species) and many of the micro moths regularly recorded in Birmingham and the Black Country, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire and Worcestershire. The book is lavishly illustrated with over 1000 photographs, from local photographers wherever possible, and also includes up-to-date distribution maps, habitat information, adult flight periods and larval food plants. In addition to the species pages there are also chapters dealing with the special moths of the area and the top places to look for moths – "hot spots". Other sections cover attracting moths, gardening for moths and recording techniques.

This first ever book on the butterflies of the West Midlands includes detailed accounts of all 41 species regularly recorded in Birmingham & the Black Country, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire and Worcestershire.For each species there are photographs of the four life stages – egg, larva, pupa and adult – and guidance on identification. Distribution maps show where each butterfly may be seen, and there is helpful information on suitable habitat and when to look for each species. Additional chapters on butterfly walks, how to photograph butterflies and tips on suitable plants to attract them to your garden are included.
