Putting Telford's Butterflies and Moths on the Map

As part of our recording project in Telford, we are running a series of events to introduce recorders to local sites and species and to help with ID. All the events can be booked on Eventbrite under Telford and Wrekin Council Green Spaces Team.

 

Programme:

• Tue 9 Jun: Apley Woods, TF1 6TH
  11am – Small Copper and Small Heath, with an opportunity to learn about successful management for Ghost Moth
  9pm – Moth trapping
• Wed 17 Jun: 11am, Rough Park, TF7 5UJ
  Marbled White, Burnets and other common summer butterflies
• Tue 30 Jun: 11am, Granville Local Nature Reserve, TF2 7NB
  Silver-washed Fritillary (and possibly Hairstreaks)
  
• Sat 18 Jul: 11am, Lloyds Coppice, TF8 7QY 
  Clearwing moths
• Tue 21 Jul: 11am, Telford Millennium Nature Reserve, TF2 6DF
  Ringlet, Gatekeeper, Silver Y and Yellow Shell
