Trench Wood (Worcestershire)

Roughly two-thirds of this large ancient woodland make up the nature reserve.  The woodland is jointly managed with Butterfly Conservation because of its importance for woodland butterflies.

In December 2025, Worcestershire Wildlife Trust's appeal for £75,000 to purchase 45 hectares next to Trench Wood reached its target and received match funding to double that amount. The Trust intends to restore the land - planting native trees, connecting vital habitats and giving nature the space it needs to recover and thrive.
