Putting Telford's Butterflies and Moths on the Map

A programme of events around Telford & Wrekin to show people how to identify and record what they see

A brand new project being run in partnership with Telford & Wrekin Council, this is aimed at improving recording in the area by providing training and opportunities to identify both butterflies and moths. Aimed at complete beginners, as well as those with some experience, a series of events is planned across the summer, led by Jenny Joy and Mike Williams from WM-BAMS, together with Tony Jacques, the County Moth Recorder for Shropshire.

We're looking for people who are willing to attend all or most of the events. The programme is designed to equip them to find and identify species that are thought to be under-recorded. It's a real chance to learn where and when to look, which should greatly increase the number and variety of sightings.
